Burke County nurse charged with stealing drugs from work

Waynesboro investigators arrested David Goodrich on Thursday for stealing prescription drugs from the Burke County Medical Center.

Officers say he was as a nurse at the hospital.

Goodrich is charged with 11 felony counts of obtaining a controlled substance. He is also charged with several misdemeanors for stealing a regulated drug.

Investigators say Goodrich could face more charges.

NBC Augusta spoke with hospital officials on Friday, they tell us Goodrich no longer works at Burke County Medical Center.
