Accident on I-20 kills three people

By Associated Press

DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. (AP)- Three people have been killed and another injured in a crash involving a wrong-way driver on Interstate 20 west of Atlanta.

The Georgia State Patrol says a car traveling west in the east-bound lanes of I-20 near Douglasville ran head-on into another vehicle with three occupants shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday.

The patrol says those killed were a 22-year-old woman from Douglasville, a 26-year-old woman from Atlanta and a 41-year-old man from Mableton.

Dispatcher David Mills says a passenger who survived the crash
was taken to Atlanta Medical Center.

Mills says it has not been determined why the driver was going the wrong way.
