Deadly golf cart accident in Columbia County

The Columbia County Sheriff's Office tells NBC Augusta a woman died after the golf cart she was in turned over.

The accident happened Saturday night on Lakeside Drive in Appling.

The coroner tells us Alicia Driggers of Tarrytown, GA died about three hours after the accident.

He says Driggers was a passenger in the golf cart.

The driver of the golf cart and two other passengers, including a small child weren't seriously hurt in the accident.

Right now the Columbia County Sheriff's Office is investigating.

They're waiting on test results to see if drugs or alcohol were involved.
