A 12-year- Augusta boy has admitted to taking part in the deadly shooting of his neighbor.
Roosevelt Cowins, 65 of Augusta, was shot to death during a home invasion on March 19.
The boy, along with Willie Casey, is accused of going to the victim's home to collect a debt.
The boy said Casey shot the victim twice and then he shot Cowins a third time.
Casey hanged himself in jail shortly after the incident.
The boy can't be charged with murder as an adult because he is too young by Georgia statute.
He could be held in a state juvenile detention center until he turns 21.
The teen is expected to be in court July 30 to find out what punishment he will face.
