Quitting smoking is not easy, but Dr. Janie Heath with the Medical College of Georgia School of Nursing has some tips on how to reach your goal of kicking the habit.

Dr. Heath says the best way to quit smoking is to use the STAR approach. It is an acronym meaning: set a date, tell friends or family, anticipate challenges and remove triggers.

There are also different products on the market that can help break the nicotine addiction.
