Steven Kendrick wins Richmond County Tax Commissioner runoff

Steven Kendrick will be the next Richmond County Tax Commissioner.

He received more than 65 percent of the vote in Tuesday's runoff for the Democratic nomination with 74 of 75 precincts reporting.

Kendrick, a former Augusta mayoral candidate, defeated former Richmond County Commissioner Tommy Boyles.

Kendrick automatically wins the Tax Commission seat since there is no Republican challenger.
