Augusta man formally charged with killing girlfriend's baby

An Augusta man has been formally charged with killing his girlfriend's baby.

Richmond County investigators say Shaun Perdue was babysitting the two month old in May.

They say Perdue told neighbors the baby quit breathing.

The baby died at the hospital.

The coroner says the baby died from injuries consistent with shaken baby syndrome.
