Drivers watch out for lane and exit closure as Department of Transportation workers make progress on Bobby Jones and I-20.

DOT started working on the east and westbound lanes of Bobby Jones, between Scott Nixon Memorial Drive and Wheeler Road.

Crews will work on this portion on I-520 from Monday 9pm to 6am until Thursday.

Construction on I-20 is changing as well. Exit 197, the Davis Road exit will be closed. Exit 196b will reopen.

They are also shifting the I-20 traffic west of Warren Road Bridge into the median. Those lane will be much more narrow. Workers are asking people to slow down to 45 mph when they are driving in this area.

Work on I-20 begins Tuesday at 10pm. It ends on Thursday.
