Weather may have been factor in deadly Richmond County car accident

By NBC Augusta Staff

Wet and foggy conditions may be to blame for a deadly accident in Richmond County early Tuesday morning.

It happened on Brown Road in Hephzibah around 1:45 a.m.

The Richmond County Coroner's office says Bryan Rightenour was killed when he lost control and flipped his car.

Investigators say Rightenour was pinned inside and had to be cut from the car.

Rightenour did have a passenger who was taken to MCGHealth. There's no word yet on his condition.
