AUGUSTA, Ga.- Richmond County investigators are looking for a man accused of shooting at a group of Norfolk Southern railroad workers. They say Daniel Broome is one of three men involved in the drive-by shooting.

Investigators with Norfolk Southern and the Richmond County Sheriff's Office have arrested Bland Massie and and Eric Anderson.

An investigator with Norfolk Southern tells NBC Augusta 26 News the three men drove by Norfolk Southern's property in south Augusta on two different occasions and opened fire.

The first time was just over a week ago. Employees say the men drove and shot at two company cars. Then just a few hours later, they came back and shot at workers. Investigators are still looking at whether or not the workers were being targeted.

Thankfully no one was injured in the shootings, but investigators say if the bullets hit the railroad cars it could have turned out a lot worse.

“Even if they weren't shooting at the workers, a straight projectile could have hit one of the workers. We have a lot of hazardous material. If it hit one of the tanker cars, we could have had a serious incident," said Andrea Pouley, Norfolk Southern Police.
