AUGUSTA, Ga.- Richmond County deputies are searching for a teen wanted for killing Jazreel Hammond on Royal Street last week.

Investigators began the search for 16 year-old Cornelius Moore around 6:00 a.m. Tuesday. The manhunt started near Milledgville Road when
Investigators say they tried to serve an arrest warrant for Moore at his mother's house.

They say Moore jumped out of his mother's bedroom window and started running from them.

"They was banging on the door by the time I was headed to it. They knocked the door in," said Jacqueline Johnson, suspect's mother.

Deputies say Moore stole a car to get away. They say he then ran into a wooded area near Murphy Middle School, later investigators set up a perimeter around Cherry Tree Crossing apartments. They searched cars, homes and passed out wanted flyers to neighbors.

NBC Augusta 26 News has learned deputies have also arrested another teen in connection with the murder. Ian Bonner, who's 16.

Jazreel Hammond was shot and killed October 2, 2008 during a home invasion at his grandmother's home.
