AUGUSTA, Ga. - Richmond County investigators say they've found one of the guns used in a deadly shooting.

Officers found the weapon during a raid on Luckey Street Wednesday morning.

They say it's one of the guns used in the home invasion and deadly shooting of Jezreel Hammond on Royal Street last month.

That gun isn't the only thing officers discovered.

“When we were working the murder of Jezreel Hammond, we began getting information about suspects using a house on Luckey Street to store at least one of the weapons in," said Lt. Scott Peebles with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators say they found that weapon and much more in the abandoned house.

Five other guns, huge amounts of cocaine, crack, along with ecstasy and two pounds of pot were also found.

Lt. Peebles says this bust sheds a little more light on the case.

"The information we got was in the middle of a murder investigation that we believe was gang related to some extent and then to find one of the weapons that was used in that murder in this location is pretty significant," said Peebles.

Lt. Peebles said they should be able to link suspects to the weapons.

Investigators are waiting on forensic testing before they make any arrests.

The Richmond County GBI Task Force and Crime Suppression team are investigating this case.

Cornelius Moore and Ian Bonner are charged with Jezreel Hammond's murder. Both are still in jail awaiting trial.
