Investigators search for leads in the death of Burke County teen

SARDIS, Ga.- Investigators in Burke County are looking into the death of a teenager.

Burke County's Sheriff tells NBC Augusta the 16 year-old boy was found shot to death in his mother's car Saturday morning by a passerby.

His body was found between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Benbargeron Road in Sardis, Georgia.

Investigators have not named any suspects at this time.
