Update: Investigators arrest two men in connection with Burke County teenager's death

Investigators have arrested two men in connection with a Burke County teenager's death.

Burke County's Sheriff tells NBC Augusta deputies arrested one man Sunday morning, another turned himself in Sunday afternoon. They are Tray Sapp who's 16 years old and Christopher Derik Chance who's 22.

Both are charged with murder in the death of Simpson Tyrone Cates Junior who's 16.

A passerby found Cate's shot to death in his mother's car in Sardis Saturday morning. The car was parked along Ben Bargeron road.

The Sheriff says the shooting was likely drug related. Cates was a student at Burke County High School.

God says you must forgive to be forgiven. I am sadden by the wreckless death. My prayers are to all involved. Drugs are a part of our lives and parents must wake up to this. Why are their children out so late. I don't understand how these boys parents were not aware of drug deals. Shouldn't they question where they get these expensive clothes and phones??? If I didn't purchase them these items I would defintely question where the funds come from. Tyrone should not be selling drugs.

well, i feel fer tyrone and his family. trey wuz my friend, but i dont claim his side in this. he nor his cuzin shudda done that to tyrone. he didn't deserve hat. they live on their life, tyrone will never return to his family. may god be with the Cates family, and my heart goes out to them. its bad decisions like this that give Millen a bad name. trey is still my friend, but he doesn't have my forgivings in his actions.
