MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. (AP) - A coalition of churches and community
partners will use donations to help relocate veterans being
displaced by the shutdown of part of the Georgia War Veterans Home.

The home's domiciliary unit is expected to close within days.

The Displaced Veterans' Project Team has organized donations of
food, furniture, appliances, linens and cookware.

Morris Graybeal is director of the home. He says there are about
10 veterans still being settled into homes.

The home, situated on approximately 20 acres in Milledgeville,
operates three skilled nursing care centers. It had just one
domiciliary care center.
