Improved lake levels allow Thurmond and Hartwell boat ramps to reopen
ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says boat The Corps said Wednesday that both lakes are still well below average levels for this time of year. The Corps is continuing with measures designed to boost lake levels such as reduced flows from the Thurmond Dam and no flow from Lake Hartwell. The average elevation for Hartwell Lake for Wednesday was 655 feet. That's up from a record low of 637 feet in December. God created these lakes to use for drinking water and to enjoy. He created the fish for food and for pleasure. It is true that God answers prayers.
