I notice you are the only news station that is covering this story. When it was a young woman from a wealthy neighborhood, it was all over the news. When it is a middle aged man walking and he is ran over and left to die in a neighborhood not reconized by the wealthy of Columbia County it is forgotten. I guess hit and run isn't a story during Master's week. Did we forget hit and run is a crime? My heart goes out to his family and friends. The person that hit him should be in jail!

As usual, the lack of information in the published stories creates an enviroment of speculation. This was not just a person walking down the road and not seen. Please report the complete story.

Pray for his wife and family that they're comforted by the Lord's love. Pray for eternal happiness in Heaven for Bill. Also pray for the lunatic who hit him and didn't stop. He obviously needs a change of heart.

Did he have on any type of reflective material wear?It begins to get dark around that time. Was he walking against traffic or with traffic? Is there a pedestrian walk lane in that area? Very unfortunate, condolenses to the family.

I live in that area and I do think people need to be aware and careful, but what kind of person HITS a pedestrian w/ their car and LEAVES THE SCENE!? People drive very dangerously in that neighborhood - despite the speed bumps. I'm so very sorry for his family
