Several reports of storm damage in Burke County

WAYNESBORO, Ga. - The Burke County Sheriff's Office tells us a tree fell on a house and damaged a mobile home at the intersection of highway 56 and Bates Road.

Mobile homes and houses were damaged on Cohen Road.

The Burke County Sheriff's Office is also working reports of damage on Thomas Road, Stephens Road, Highway 23 and Telfair Pond Road.

A deputy tells NBC Augusta 26 News they expect to find more damage during daylight hours.

I just wanted to say thanks to NBC Augusta. You are the only news website that has anything on the severe weather in Burke County. I have been online for about an hour trying to see who cares enough to report something other than a murder or a robbery that happened in our area. Once again thanks!
