Tour promotes sharing the road safely

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Since all drivers must share the road, Georgia law enforcement wants to make sure everyone on a motorcycle is safe.

The Governor's Office of Highway Safety and riders from across the state took to the streets for the Georgia Motorcycle Awareness Tour. The tour promotes motorcycle safety for riders and other motorists.

The tour comes just one day after a man was killed on his moped after a truck driver failed to yield.

“Somebody was killed here in Augusta just yesterday and it's so important for us motorist to be mindful that they are out there,” Bob Dallas from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety said.

The tour’s next stop is Atlanta.
