Deputy cleared of molestation charges

A former Richmond County deputy has been cleared of child molestation charges. Friday, a jury found Lindon Haworth not guilty.

He was accused of kissing a 14-year-old girl back in 2007.

Haworth is an Iraq war veteran and had received several honors, including the Purple Heart.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office fired him after he was charged.

this man and his family were practicly crusified over things that ended up not being true and the state and the parents of that young female should be made to reimburse the children of this man for all the scandall that was caused.stop trying to find fault and try to put yourself in his childrens place and what they have had to endure.

Richmond County Government is one of the most corrupt in Georgia. Judge Duncan Wheale told me that when I had jury duty in 2007. His friend in Atlanta told him Augusta is the worse. It really is the old boys network down here in the good old south. A bunch of hillbilly idiots if you ask me. Hope he sues the pants off the county.

I knew that this whole thing from the beginning was wrong and that he would be cleared. People who do not know this man should get to know him. He has been don't a great wrong. Richmond county sheiff dept. just throw him to the dogs. Why didn't they stand by this man. No, they believed the worst WHY? Apologize I will believe that when I hear It. Why was this left hanging over his head for 2 YEARS. What happen to his rights? Looks like they were thrown out the window.

As of Friday, we still have not heard back from the sheriff about the possibility of him getting his job back. We are waiting to find out and will report it when we find out.
