Columbia County man arrested in stabbing and police chase

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. – Officers say a Columbia County man is in jail for a stabbing and high-speed chase that ended in North Augusta on Friday.

Ryan McQueen is facing several charges including failure to stop for blue light and siren, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident
and resisting arrest.

Investigators tell NBC Augusta 26 News this all started during an argument between McQueen and his girlfriend. They say the girlfriend left his home and went to Anthony Arcuri’s home on Maywood Drive in Martinez.

Deputies say McQueen forced his way into Arcuri’s home and stabbed him in the shoulder.

After McQueen left the house, investigators spotted him a few hours later in Richmond County. They say that’s when he led Richmond County deputies on a chase that ended on Highway 25 in North Augusta.

Arcuri was taken to MCGHealth with non-life threatening injuries.

McQueen is in the North Augusta Jail.

I was in the military with scott so before someone starts running there mouth about his military career find the facts out first. He did his job and was very good at it. If you can't be a postive person in someone's then don't be in thier live at all.

when are we gonna stop trying to place blame everywhere except for were it belongs. the arcuri guy was in his home asleep when i believe ryan mcqueen pushed his way in arcuri didnt ask for any of this . he didnt ask to be stabbed and punched and sliced. he didnt ask to be a hero...BUT he is . even if only for one moment he saved the lives of 2 women and 2 children. so place blame were it belongs . when the water is clear people love to try and muddy it up.

to ryans sister who dosent know her brother let alone Tony Arcuri. i grew up with both boys and they were best friends for 19 years. ryan has always had issues and tony has been caught in ryans problems before . No Tony is not a saint and no one on earth is. but what he did was very brave and very honorable and it is not the first time. tony was a police officer for a couple of years and has earned awards and commendations for bravery and valor. He has never killed anyone nor would he.

My brother lost control and was wrong for what he did and will pay for it. We have all lost control at some point in life over matters of the heart. You obviously don't know what kind of worthless scum Toni Arcuri is to believe anything he says. He was kicked out of the military and fired from the police force and has committed numerous crimes himself. He finally went to prison for beating a homeless man to death just for the fun of it. Toni doesn't have an honorable bone in his body!!

as usual augusta news gets half a story right. the chase info is all that is correct...i guess. he did not chase her to my house. she stayed the night there with her daughter and my roomate and her son , because he threatned to kill her yesterday and columbia county was called after he destroyed parts of her house on thursday morning. he showed up at my house and pushed his way into the front door and went after his girlfriend polly ross. he was trying to kill her and i trying to stop him.
