Work continues at collapsed parking deck

ATLANTA (AP) - Emergency workers have removed most of the
damaged vehicles from a collapsed parking deck in Atlanta and have
found no victims in the rubble.

Atlanta Fire and Rescue spokesman Bobby Stewart said Wednesday
evening that 29 of about 38 damaged cars have been removed from the
parking deck in midtown.

Stewart says 169 cars, including those not damaged, have been
removed from the lot, but hundreds remain.

Each damaged car is lifted from the rubble with a crane and the
garage is rechecked each time to make sure it is safe for
firefighters to resume searching for possible victims.

What caused a portion of the 7-year-old deck to fall from the
fourth floor to ground level on Monday hasn't been determined.
