Judge dismisses gun pointing case against Butch Palmer

AUGUSTA, Ga. - A former Augusta Commission candidate accused of pointing a shotgun at a man will not face legal action.

A judge dismissed the case against Butch Palmer on Friday.

Elliot Davis says he was playing loud music while driving through the Harrisburg neighborhood last month when Palmer pointed a gun at him.

Davis did not show up in court, so the case was dropped.
