AUGUSTA, Ga. - The major storm system that brought heavy rain to our area Friday is moving northeast away from the area. Heavy snow is expected from northern Virginia to Atlantic City, NJ.
Rain over Georgia and the Carolinas was highest inland with lesser amounts closer to the coast.

Our NBC Augusta StormTracker spotter team reported anywhere from about an inch to almost 2.5 inches of rain from this storm. No significant flooding problems were reported over the region.

If you would like to join our spotter team, we have our introductory seminar coming up on February 20. Click here for free registration.
