Hot dog company recalls thousands of pounds of hot dogs

By Tina Terry tterry@nbcaugusta.com>

AUGUSTA, Ga. - An Alabama hot dog company is recalling more than 28,000 pounds of hot dog products.

The Zeigler Brand products could contain strands of Listeria. That is known to cause high fever, severe headaches, and can be potentially deadly.

The recalled items were produced September 22.

Consumers with food safety questions can call the toll-free USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline 1-888-674-6854.

Zeigler better watch out. Employee mistakes put castleberrys out of business. Now they are crying because they are out of work. Well they have nobody to blame but them selves. Truth hurts.
