AUGUSTA, Ga. – NBC Augusta 26 News has found some food's that might excite your taste buds and keep you healthy at the same time. Researchers say there might be some other foods you might want to add to your diet.

Erin Mills is a dietitian at Doctors Hospital. She says one food you might want to start eating is pomegranates.

"It will help lower your blood cholesterol that will help you fight heart disease. The antioxidants will help you as well."

They are small and fuzzy, but you won't believe how much nutrition just one kiwi has. Eating a kiwi won't have an effect on your waist line.

"They're low in fat and the calorie source comes from natural sugar. It has vitamin C and it's a good source of vitamins and minerals.

Mills says kiwi is also full of fiber and vitamin E, which will help improve your vision.

The next thing your might want to add to your diet is cranberry juice. Mills says cranberries help cleanse your body of bacteria, reducing your risk of infections. It also lowers your cholesterol, and decreases your risk of heart attacks or strokes.

Experts say a good rule of thumb is: the brighter it is, the better it is for you. Mills also says stick to eating fresh fruit, and you should have at least one serving of fruit a day.
