13th and 14th cases of H1N1 reported at Fort Gordon
FORT GORDON, Ga. – Two more cases of H1N1 have been confirmed at Fort Gordon. Two soldiers tested positive for the virus, which is also known as swine flu. They are the 13th and 14th cases of H1N1 at the signal this year. A 21-year-old active duty soldier was examined and tested July 11. He was given antiviral medication. Another soldier, who is 19, was hospitalized with the virus earlier this month. He was released from Eisenhower Medical Center over the weekend. Public relations workers at Fort Gordon say state and local health departments have been notified about the cases. They also tell NBC Augusta 26 News that Fort Gordon has a contingency plan in place to treat and test patients who present flu-like symptoms. I think thats foul, we have the right to know if we have came in contact with that soldier, we could take it home to our families. Inappropriate? Alert Us!Add a commentMost PopularMore Good Stuff |
