GIBSON, Ga. - Glascock County Consolidated School will be closed Friday to give students time to get healthy.
NBC Augusta 26 News has learned the county doesn’t have any confirmed cases of H1N1, but they've had a lot of absences because of students with flu-like symptoms.
The school teaches Kindergarten through 12th grade.
The school tells 26 News since Labor Day is on Monday, the four-day weekend will allow students to get better. The days will also give maintenance workers time to disinfect the building.
The county’s health department will hold a flu vaccination clinic at the school on September 11.
Glascock County’s football game at Southwest Atlanta Christian on Friday has not been cancelled.
