The ladies of Bikini Boot Camp in Columbia County may not be wearing army fatigues or combat boots, but they're serious about getting in shape for the summer.

Of course you don't have to wear a bikini to workout, but you just might want to after a few months of training. Mary Stewart, who now teaches a Bikini Boot Camp class, used to be a student and lost forty pounds!

"I encourage everyone to at least come out and try one class," said Stewart. "I fell in love with it."

The women of Bikini Boot Camp are all different ages and fitness levels and have their own reasons for signing up.

The class is an hour long combination of cardio and strength training held in the park behind the Columbia County library.

You can adjust each work out according to your personal fitness level, and by using your own body weight for resistance and some light free weights the Bikini Boot Camp ladies are seeing some pretty amazing results.

"We just measured back in from the last six weeks, and every single person that remeasured lost," said Bethany Roley, creator of the Columbia County Bikini Boot Camp.

So, no matter what kind of shape you're in, bikini boot camp may be the way to that bikini body you've been wanting.

Bikini boot camp meets every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:00 AM and 7:30 PM. It also meets on Thursday night at 7:30 PM.

Just a friendly suggestion. It would me nice if you didnt spread tour mats all out in front of the walk path in the way of people trying to run or walk the track. Try to be a little more considerate of others. Thank You.
