Televangelist Bynum Refiles For Divorce

By NBCAugusta Producers

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) _ Televangelist Juanita Bynum has filed
a new divorce petition in the county where her estranged husband
lives.

The two-page petition filed Thursday in Gwinnett County Superior
Court charges her husband, Thomas Weeks III, with cruel treatment
and says their marriage is irretrievably broken.

It is similar to a petition filed earlier this month in
Waycross, where Bynum has a home. Bynum's lawyer, Karla Walker,
later said she would withdraw it and refile the case where Weeks
lives.

The husband and wife, estranged since June, are church leaders.
Their troubles were thrust into the public eye in August when Bynum
accused Weeks of being her in a hotel parking lot.
