Augusta Youth Pastor Charged With Performing Sex Acts On Teenager

A youth pastor at Bible Way Church has been charged with performing sex acts on a 14-year old girl three separate times. Investigators say 36-year-old Falcon Davis worked at the Augusta church for 2 years.

They say Davis confessed to the crimes. He is now in jail awaiting a bond hearing.

Investigators took him into custody after the girls mother called the Sheriff's Department this weekend. During the investigation they found 37 pages of Yahoo! Messages between Davis and the teenager. Many of them were sexual in nature.

And investigators say the teen eventually told them that Davis came to her house to perform oral sex on her.

They say this case serves as a warning to parents.

"Monitor what your children do, because in all honesty you don't know who they're talking to. It could be a child, or an adult who is a predator of some sort," said Richmond County investigator Earnest Furgeison.

Young people from age five all the way up to 18 are involved in the youth program at Bible Way.

Right now they have no evidence that other children were molested, but they encourage anyone with information about other incidents to step forward.

The young child should get punished as well because he didn't put a gun to her head to make her do anything.In a way both parties is wrong and should be punished on both ends.That's why this kind of stuff is always happening because the youth is not being punished for there actions as well.I believe if he went to her she should've been a child a went to her parents(she must enjoyed it and it wasn't her first)and if she approached him he should've went to her parents and his pastor.

I am so embarrassed to admit that I am in any way affiliated with this church!! NO I AM NOT A MEMBER...but I have been to some of their services. We must remember that not everyone who calls themselves a "saint" really is one. I am further embarrassed that the members, and the leadership seem to be blaming the victim in this situation. It is unfortunate that this occurred. The youth have been taught right from wrong and yet they still defend their youth pastor who is now a self proclaimed sex offender. It is often said that when adolescents become defensive they are attempting to cover the truth. It is also unfortunate that the pastor is not taking this serious and has placed another man in charge of the youth which is compiled of mostly females. WOW! A church as old as Bible Way ....WWJD?

I feel that most of the comments made by the members are totally against the child who has been violated. Reguardless of how great a youth leader he was, he has still fallen into the very temptation he taught against. Not only is this a slap in the face to the church involved, it is a direct insult to the entire Body of Christ. Reguardless of how many sexual experiences the child may have had or tried to have, nothing condones his actions. It doesn't matter if she wasn't a "FAITHFUL" member.

To CC, are you serious? You feel bad for the man because he was "seduced" to sleep with a 14-year old? That's deep . . . and scary! Guess it's a good thing we have laws that govern such "seductions". Like it or not, agree with it or not, the man has issues that go far deeper than being "tempted". He is a child molester. There may be alot about him that is good & admirable, but he is sick. I feel bad for the man, yep, I said it. This YOUNG WOMAN, not innocent child, (her Mom's boyfriend too?) seduced this man. I read that he is a family man and should have known better, true.I remember being 14.I knew right from wrong.I was not an innocent.I took drugs, partied, but never went "all the way",I KNEW BETTER. As a grown woman, I know men. Satan, schmatan, she knew what she was doing. How about charging these young girls with "entrapment"? Please, the clothes? Man is weak.

While I am praying for all involved, I want to be clear that excuses cannot be made for child molestation, even if the confessed perpetrator is a church leader. In my compassion, I also feel disgust because a child has been violated. No length of prison time can compensate for that damage. Implying that a child's behavior can somehow entice a man to molest her is flawed thinking, and suggests that she is responsible for it. As a conscious, intelligent human beings, we should know better.

Jeannine, I am so sorry this happened to your family. I know you are going to "stand by your man", but you need to face reality. He is a 36 yr old MAN, who confessed to having "sexual relations" with a 14 yr old GIRL. "All of the details that surrounds this case" will probably incriminate him even further. I am sure this is an unimaginable situation, but the sooner you realize that he is going to prison, the sooner you can start to rebuild a life for you and your family.

The minister was dead wrong for what he did. I think he should be sat down and he has every right to be in prison. Yes the child is fast and need her legs glued toghether but thats a grown man with a family. He knows better. to me: I read the article, and was aware of the chuch's name. I was pointing out to other posters that parents in the area had a right to know what church he was from, so if their children went there, they could talk to them about it, and help them gain understanding. It's unfortunate that this youth pastor fell into temptation and has confessed. It is also unfortunate that youth of today aren't as innocent as we would like to believe. I am a mother of 2 teenagers and I have constantly tried to monitor what my teenagers put on social web pages for public eyes. The bottom line is this man confessed to a crime. As an adult, he knew it was wrong to get involved sexually with a teenage girl, regardless of how she behaved. It was his responsibility to end it.

I understand that he is (was) your youth pastor, but was he has confessed to is a criminal act. Regardless of the CHILD'S actions, HE is the adult, and representing the Body of Christ. Pray for him while he serves his time in prison and during his rehabitation. He has a serious problem!!!!! Don't blame the news for exposing your church, blame your youth minister. I would like to say that our church does not condone nor uphold anyone in their wrong. The unadulterated word is preached at our church and we are encouraged to live Christ-like lives as in any church. This was an isolated incident and it will be treated as such. Just as this man we all have to repent and ask God to forgive us, for we all have sinned and come short of God's Glory.Just know that this behavior is not a reflection of everyone at Bible Way.

One thing will always remain….there was only one perfect Man to walk this earth and he was God in the flesh. As a young member of this church, I can honestly say that the youth program here has cultivated educators, legal workers, ministers, managers, and a wide variety of other types of individuals. As with much of today’s media, the focus is always put on the negative aspect of things. The alleged acts are heinous and inexcusable, but they don’t reflect the church’s beliefs or standards.

I am a member of this church and I feel so sorry for the family and everyone involved. But at the same time he's our youth Pastor and we love him. I'm not up holding what he did but I want let anyone down him like that. he is human.
