Report Says Augusta Is In An Economic Recession

Augusta-Richmond County is in a recession according to a report in Wednesday's edition of USA Today.

The study, completed by MoodysEconomy.com, is based on employment, industrial production, retail sales and income.

The study also found Rome and Dalton, Georgia are in a recession as well.

If Augusta is in a recession, it is because of the people here putting us in one. There is no reason for Augusta to be in a recession. We have Ft. Gordon, 6 hospitals, and many major business centers, call centers, company headquarters, etc that will remain here. People are just scared that we are in a recession that they are holding on to there money which is hurting the economy.
