NBC NEWS- President Bush serenaded a group of Washington journalists this weekend with a farewell tune. Mr. Bush was attending the annual Gridiron Club, an invitation-only institution of Washington reporters Saturday night. During his appearance, he surprised the crowd with his own rendition of “Green Green Grass of Home.” Dressed in a cowboy hat and tuxedo the President sang with the help of his back-up singers, the Busharoos. Bush sang about his life ahead on the ranch, with his dog, and without the media around. His performance drew a standing ovation from the crowd which included Supreme Court justices, legislators, big-name reporters and others.
