NBC NEWS- President Bush serenaded a group of Washington journalists this weekend with a farewell tune.

Mr. Bush was attending the annual Gridiron Club, an invitation-only institution of Washington reporters Saturday night.

During his appearance, he surprised the crowd with his own rendition of “Green Green Grass of Home.”

Dressed in a cowboy hat and tuxedo the President sang with the help of his back-up singers, the Busharoos.

Bush sang about his life ahead on the ranch, with his dog, and without the media around.

His performance drew a standing ovation from the crowd which included Supreme Court justices, legislators, big-name reporters and others.

Gee...I'm so glad our president can sing, whew! Totally screws foreign policy, the economy, and democracy in general not to mention all the American blood spilled in Iraq for no reason, but at least he can sing! Our president can sing, what can yours do?!?

Way to go Mr President! I've always loved your sense of humor. I also loved that you did your utmost to keep Americans safe. I will miss you. Note to Oscar: If you knew so much about the war, you'd know how to spell it. It's spelled with a q not a k.

A great president of courage - just who we needed after 9/11. Too bad politics has to get in the way. A pretty good singer and comedian, too.

I really admire the President. When all others are smearing and name calling, he has shown grace and humor.

It will be a long time before our country is blessed with the likes of a President with the character, and wit, of George W. Bush. History will speak volumes of his undying legacy.

How can He have a sense of humor if he is spending our money in Irak at the speed of 20billion a day and we are here biting our nails with this frail economy.
