Two Employees Fired At The James Brown Arena

NBC Augusta was at the Augusta-Richmond County Coliseum meeting today for a major shake-up.

The board voted 6-5 to fire newly hired facilities manager Julie Huggins.

Several board members say Huggins purposely lied about past employment on her resume to get the job.

Other board members say Tuesday's firing was in retaliation for the recent dissmissal of Robert "Flash" Gordon.

NBC Augusta has also learned the arena's finance director, Margaret Ellis, was fired Monday for performance problems.

Board chairman Harry Moore tells NBC Augusta he plans to resign from his position as chair.
