Things keep getting better in downtown Augusta.

Just this week, the Convention and Visitors Bureau put up green signs to welcome visitors and residents to downtown.

It's the first of three phases, to keep the area safer and cleaner.

A member of the Augusta Convention Bureau tells NBC Augusta we can expect more signs to come to the city in the next couple of weeks.
