Search For Shooters In East Augusta Murder
Officials with the Richmond County Coroner’s office tell NBC Augusta one man is dead after being shot early Sunday morning. They say David Reader was killed as he sat inside his car. It happened just after midnight along East Boundary in east Augusta. Investigators say they are looking for two men responsible for the shooting. Deputies say the murder appears to be drug related. An autopsy will be performed on Reader, who was 26, on Monday.
