NBC NEWS- The former Wisconsin Texas Roadhouse cook who intentionally shoved hair into a customer’s steak is going to jail. Ryan Kropp was sentenced to six months behind bars and three years probation on Tuesday. He insists he's ashamed, embarrassed and remorseful, but the man who bit into that steak stuffed with body hair...isn't buying it. “I get a feeling he's gonna do it again,” Kevin Hansen said. Hansen thinks the former cook who caused him so much distress deserves more jail time. Kropp was sentenced to six months in jail, on work release, for intentionally stuffing his hair into Hansen's steak. “I don't think it was harsh enough...he should've got more,” Hansen said. It happened in February at the Texas Roadhouse in West Bend, Wisconsin. Twenty-four year old Kropp apologized in court Tuesday. “I am truly sorry for Kevin Hansen and his family. I never meant to harm them in any way. I thought of my actions as a prank,” Kropp said. Hansen said he doesn’t accept Kropp’s apology. Hansen thinks only time can help heal the pain he's suffered from Kropp's so-called "prank." “That was always the thing we did with family was go out to eat, dinner, that was our entertainment to do and now we don't do that no more,” Hansen said. Kropp was fired from Texas Roadhouse. He now works for a temporary employment agency. A spokesman for the Texas Roadhouse said they want “to assure the community that food safety and food quality are a top priority at Texas Roadhouse." Jail time is ridiculous. People have committed much more egregious acts and walked away with a slap on the hand. Our society have lost their minds. The "victim" actually wants more jail time. I hope he is shown the same mercy he dishes out. Inappropriate? Alert Us!Friday, Aug 15 at 7:33 PM Anonymous wrote ...If Mr. Hansen Is so embarrassed why would he put his face on TV? It is gross. But I can't see how you get all these medical bills. For What? They are just trying to get money. How does this cause lack of love and affection. What a law suit. Why would you miss work over this? Did he choke? This is just plain crazy. Inappropriate? Alert Us!Wednesday, Aug 13 at 12:25 PM Anonymous wrote ...GROSS, JUST PLAIN GROSS. He should be made to eat food stuffed with hair as well and then he would get a "taste" of his own actions. Hopefully he won't be hired in another food service establishment again after this. I understand how difficult it can be dealing with the public, but it's par for the course when you are in this type of business. Even if they are the meanest ugliest people, kill them with kindness instead of resorting to an extreme like this. Inappropriate? Alert Us!Add a commentMost PopularMore Good Stuff |
