Hawes awaiting mental evaluation results

By Liz Hill lhill@nbcaugusta.com

The trial for accused murderer Jeanette Michelle Hawes has been postponed.

Her attorneys are still waiting for the results of a mental evaluation.

Hawes is accused of stabbing her two children to death in a convenience store bathroom last November.

Hawes faces two counts of murder for killing one-year-old Jordan and three-year-old Shakayla.

She pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity in July.
