COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP)- The University of South Carolina plans to unveil a portrait of one of the school's six students killed in a beach house fire in North Carolina last fall.

The university says a portrait of Cassidy Fae Pendley will be presented during a ceremony Thursday afternoon.

The 18-year-old chemical engineering freshman died in the October 28th blaze in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina.

The school says Pendley's parents have established a scholarship
fund in her honor.
