Ga. lottery jackpot winner still hasn't claimed prize

ATLANTA (AP) - By mid morning Wednesday the winner of Friday's
$133 million Mega Millions jackpot still hadn't contacted the
Georgia Lottery to claim the prize.

The winning ticket was sold at a Chevron station in Mableton in
south Cobb County.

Lottery spokeswoman Tandi Reddick said Wednesday morning that
the winner has 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim the
winnings. She said it's not uncommon for winners to wait a few days
or more.

Reddick said that, after all sales were tallied, the jackpot was
worth $133 million. If the winner chooses to take an immediate lump
sum payment, the payout would be nearly $57 million after state and
federal taxes are taken out.

Who cares, a million dollars is plenty enough.

The government doesn't take 1/2. The $133 million is for I believe a 20 year annuity, so the cash value is probably closer to $80 million, then the gov. takes their "withholding" from that, leavimg the $57mil. Yeah, I guess they're theives either way....
