Five people arrested for motel robberies

By NBC Augusta Staff

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Five people are in jail accused of robbing motels in Augusta.

Richmond County investigators arrested Whitney Reddix, Vashown Diggs and Taneisha Williams for robbing the Super 8 motel on Gordon Highway last week.

The next night, Reddix and Diggs along with Kwame Simmons and Julius Neely tried to rob the Wingate Motel just down the street. They didn't get away with any money.

Investigators say they are trying to link these suspects to other robberies.

These senseless acts is heartbreaking. What happened to earning what you get and not the the expense of lives of others. They should prosecuted to the fullest, locked up and (if possible) rehabilitated over time.
