Burke County couple dead in murder-suicide

A Burke county couple is dead after an apparent murder-suicide.
Burke County police dispatch received a call shortly after 11pm Wednesday about a domestic dispute.
A few minutes later dispatch recieved a call and the caller said Calandra Scott had been shot by her husband, Gary Lee Scott.
When deputies arrived they found Calandra Scott dead in front of Fairfield Baptist Church.
Neighbors then reported hearing gunshots coming from the Scott's home. Scott, the alleged shooter, was found dead with what investigators say was a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Burke county and the GBI are continuing to investigate this case.
