Update: Deputies identify driver of 18-wheeler that ran a motorcyle off the road

Augusta, Ga.- Richmond County Deputies tell NBC Augusta a motorcycle driver is in critical condition after a wreck on Mike Padgett Highway.

They say the an 18-wheeler ran the motorcycle off the road in front of T's Restaurant Monday afternoon.

Investigators say the 18-wheeler was changing lanes.

They say the motorcycle flipped several times.

The motorcycle driver is being treated at MCGHealth.

There were no other injuries.

Richmond County investigators are waiting on the condition of the motorcyclist before they press charges.
