Ashley Industries helping customers from closed Augusta store

By NBC Augusta Staff

Ashley Industries says it's helping customers get furniture they bought from an Augusta store that closed in September.

The Wisconsin-based company does not own the store on Robert C. Daniel Parkway. Company executives also say although they aren't legally responsible for the Augusta closing, they wanted to help the store's customers.

Ashley Industries say they leased the name to Baker Group International.

Officials with the Baker Group, which is located in Lawrenceville, Georgia, says it temporarily closed the Augusta Exchange store because it's in the process of selling it.

Ashley Industries wants customers who have purchased, but not received furniture from the Augusta store to contact them at (866) 289-6853.
