AUGUSTA, Ga. - Car sales may be down nationwide, but at least one local company is doing okay.
Managers at Augusta's Sunbelt Nissan say the company has not experienced problems finding the finances to maintain it's fleet of cars.
And managers say they're still able to offer low interest loans to
buyers.
But they are warning people to take care of their credit score, because in tough economic times it matters more.
"You need to be more cautious. It's possible for folks who have had rough situations to not be able to buy a new or used car and that's not a good thing," said Mike Watson, Sunbelt Nissan General Manager.
Nationwide, car sales were down 27 percent in September, compared to last year.
