FORT GORDON, Ga. - Thousands of people hoping to land a new career were at Fort Gordon Tuesday.

More than 75 employers set up shop at the job fair to talk about employment opportunities.

Organizers expect dozens of people to be hired from the fair. Their only regret was there weren't enough positions to go around.

"We see quite a few positions that are open,” said Fort Gordon’s Employment Readiness Specialist, Suzanne Crosby. “There are so many people that are seeking those jobs, there's still just not quite enough to fill the need."

The job fair is a regular event at Fort Gordon. It was open to soldiers and civilians.
