NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Wednesday morning a judge set bond for a former Aiken County school administrator who is charged with sex crimes against at least two students dating back to the 1970's.

Bond is set at $25,000.

The warrants say Eubanks had repeated sexual contact with a 14-year-old male and 16-year-old female while he was an administrator at North Augusta High School and Paul Knox Junior High in the 70's.

SLED agents also believe Eubanks gave the minors alcohol and marijuana.

His brother told NBC Augusta the charges came as a shock.

He described Eubanks as a good man, who takes his aging mother to church every Sunday.

It's a sentiment echoed by a long-time neighbor.

"I'm reserving anything I think negative or positive about the matter until I talk to him because he's been a wonderful neighbor to me for 25 or more years. I couldn't have asked for a better guy," said Jeanette Barton.

In addition to Aiken County, Eubanks is also a former administrator in Georgetown and Lancaster County schools.
