Commissioners vote to continue leasing botanical gardens

Augusta-Richmond County commissioners voted to renew a six-month lease to run the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame's Botanical Gardens.

For the past six months, the city has used the Gardens for city events and they've leased it out to others.

Running the Gardens will cost the city about $77,000.

They started the lease when the park lost state funding to run it last year. The full commission will vote on the measure next month.
