The following is a list of events taking place on Veterans Day. All events are scheduled to take place Tuesday, November 11, 2008.
CSRA Veterans Day Parade
Time: 10 a.m.
Location: Broad Street in downtown Augusta
Additional Information: Supporting the parade will be a Joint Service Color Guard, a marching unit from the 15th Regimental Signal Brigade, and noncommissioned officers who will serve as judges.

Veterans Breakfast
Time: 8:30 a.m.
Location: Mossy Creek Elementary in North Augusta
Additional Information: A continental breakfast will be held for pupils' family members who are veterans. Afterward, the North Augusta High School Navy Junior ROTC will march in the school's front lot.

Salute to Veterans
Time: 9 a.m.
Location: Harlem Middle School in Harlem
Additional Information: Sgt. Pat Newman with the U.S. Army Signal will speak to students.

Augusta State University’s Veterans Day
Time: 11 a.m.
Location: ASU’s Quadrangle.
Additional Information: Prior to the 11 a.m. ceremony, a 21-gun salute will be presented at the Arsenal Cemetery at 10 a.m.

Park Ceremony
Time: 11 a.m.
Location: Wade Hampton Veterans Park in North Augusta
Additional Information: This event will feature Col. John Holwick, Fort Gordon garrison commander.

Heroes Overlook Veterans Day Observance
Time: 1 p.m.
Location: Riverwalk on 10th Street in downtown Augusta
Additional Information: Fort Gordon's commander, color guard and band will participate in the event.
__________________________________________________________ Strom Thurmond High Veterans' Day Celebration
Time: 6 p.m.
Location: Strom Thurmond High in Edgefield
Additonal Information: This year, the observance will include speakers and highlight those who have served in the National Guard. Emcee for the event will be Jane Herlong.

Signal Band Veterans Day Concert
Time: 7 p.m.
Location: Alexander Hall at Fort Gordon
Additional Information: The U.S. Army Signal Corps Band and the Lakeside High School Symphonic Band will give a Veterans Day Celebration Concert.

Savannah River Winds Patriotic Concert
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Location: Grace United Methodist Church, Wesley Center in North Augusta
Additional Information: Terry Sams will read the Gettysburg Address. Concert will support CSRA Wounded Warrior Project.
