Georgia's Rep. Paul Broun calls President-elect Obama a Marxist

Tools

WASHINGTON (AP) - A Republican congressman from Georgia is
calling President-elect Obama a Marxist and warning that he might
be planning to form a Gestapo-like security force so he can rule as
a dictator.

Two-term Rep. Paul Broun of Athens cited a July speech that has
circulated on the Internet in which Obama called for a civilian
force to take some of the national security burden off the military.

Broun said he was not fearmongering but wants to warn people
that the nation could be going down that path.

His comments came in a Monday telephone interview with The
Associated Press after he called Obama a Marxist at a Rotary Club
meeting in his district over the weekend.

What are all you Obamaniacs afraid of? The truth!! Remember that Obama's Texas campaign office had a CUBAN flag on the wall. NOT an American flag. Why did Obama and his family wear red and black on ELection Night? They are the colors of anarcho-socialism and also of the Nazi flag (National Socialism). Bravo for Rep. Broun - more people should have the guts to speak the truth.

Obama's ideas do bear a remarkable resemblance to Marxism. Broun may have made an overstatement, but he also has a valid point.

Just because Rep. Paul Broun makes an outrageous statement does not make him racist or hateful. Is any statement that is contrary to the Pres Obama view going to be attacked in such a divisive way. Being from Georgia does not make you a racist - nor does being for San Francisco makes you gay. I have lived in many states and classifying people by geography is as stupid as what Rep Broun said.

Also I would wonder just who would make up this civilian force. I'll let you figure that out. Hitler said if you wanted to conquer a nation, disarm them first.

Truly this is a comment from a Georgia Southern Racist who can not believe that an "intelligent, educated, honest, and more than capable African American could not only run for President of the United States, but also win by a "landslide". Rumors like this only keeps all of us down. Mr. Broun should truly be ashamed of himself. People like him is one of the reasons that I moved out of the state of Georgia.

It's one thing for Rush Limbaugh to fan the flames of right-wing hatred. But a U.S. Congressman? This statement will come back to haunt him. Too bad he didn't make it before election day.

Barack Obama is a Communitarian, although you will not have heard him use the term during his election campaign. Americans will get a shock when the truth of his hidden agenda becomes known and they find out his real intentions. Bear in mind that Obama is simply a front-man for the New World Order Communitarians. http://tinyurl.com/5boahw

Finally a voice of reason. Paul Broun is the kind of conservative that we needed at the top of the ticket. The results would have been much different and this pres-elect charlatan would have been sent packing back to Chicago or where ever he is actually from.

What Broun actually said is far more reasonable than this article suggests. The ap seems to have gone out of its way to make Broun's comments seem more incendiary than they actually were. Broun's thoughts were nowhere near as demagogic as Sen Robert Byrd's comments comparing the Bush media operation to Herman Goering.

We are outraged and dismayed that Rep. Paul Broun's hateful remarks about President-elect Obama were reported on the evening news. These remarks show his ignorance and obvious racist mentality and are not worthy of being repeated. Shame on the Rotary Club for even listening to him. He should be removed from office for such stupid and untrue remarks. God save us from the fearmonering from people like Paul Broun!
